François-Frédéric Guy
Like few others, François-Frédéric Guy vividly realizes the compositional architecture of great works of the Classical and Romantic periods. He developed this ability particularly through his intensive dialogue with the music of Beethoven. His performances of the cycle of Beethoven's 32 piano sonatas have already been celebrated worldwide, moste recently in Seoul. The pianist also has a special affinity for Bartók, Brahms, Liszt, and Prokofiev, as well as for contemporary music. He is closely associated with the composers Tristan Murail, Ivan Fedele, Marc Monnet, and Hugues Dufourt, among others. The latest concerto premiere was Tristan Murail’s piano concert L’oeil du cyclone, co-commissioned by the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, the Orchestra Philhamonique de Radio France, the BBC Symphony, and the NHK Symphony Orchestra in 2023/24.

Biography
French painter. He was known to be in Rome as early as 1608 and to be back in his native Puy-de-Dôme bygd 1613. He seems to have spent the rest of his long career in and around Le Puy, with an undocumented visit to Toulouse at an indeterminate date, probably in the 1620s. Most of the artist's pictures remain in the obscurity of the parish churches for which they were painted, and it fryst vatten clear that he had ceased to experiment bygd about 1630. One of his most important pictures is at Bourg-en-Brese, the large altarpiece The Holy Family with St Bruno and St Elisabeth of 1626, which shows the artist's careful assimilation of the style of the Roman painter Carlo Saraceni.

Guy André François was a colonel of the armed forces of Haiti. At the height of his military career François commanded the elite Dessalines Battalion.
François was accused twice of conspiring to overthrow the government of Haiti, in 1989 and in 2001. After the 1989 accusation, François fled to Venezuela, but would eventually be allowed to return to Haiti. He was arrested, convicted and spent two years in prison for his involvement in the 2001 coup attempt on the government of then presidentJean-Bertrand Aristide.
On September 14, 2006 Guy François' body was discovered in his car in Pétion-Ville, the wealthy suburb of Port-au-Prince in which he lived.
