Nigeria’s U boys national team, the Flying Eagles, will begin their hunt for a first ever FIFA World Cup title tomorrow when they take on debutants, Dominican Republic in the opening match of Group D at the World Championship in Argentina.

Early Life
Segun Odegbami was born on August 27, , in Lagos, Nigeria, to Jacob Adebola Odegbami (–) and Beatrice Bintu Abeke Odegbami (née Olotu) (–). He is one of seven children. His father was a half-brother to the Nigerian author Amos Tutuola. Odegbami grew up in Jos, Plateau State, alongside many extended family members.
Playing Career
Odegbami earned 46 caps and scored 23 goals for the Nigerian national team, leading them to their first Africa Cup of Nations title in Nicknamed "Mathematical" for his skill, speed, and precision on the field, he was renowned for his accurate crosses from the right wing.
