    Sumalee Rachel Montanois an actress and voice-over artist. She first worked as an investment banking analyst before pursuing her career in the arts. Her mother is originally from the Philippines and her father from Thailand.[1]

    Critical Role works[]

    Sumalee guest starred as Nila in "Converging Fury" (2x27) and "Within the Nest" (2x28) of Campaign Two as well as in the "Guest Battle Royale" (Sx64) one shot, and provided the voice of Highbearer Vord in The Legend of Vox Machina, Season Two.

    She also appeared as a guest alongside Taliesin Jaffe on Talks Machina in "Talks Machina # 'Converging Fury' and 'Within the Nest'" (TMx76). She explained the passive abilities in Dungeons & Dragons on the 11th episode of Handbooker Helper. She returned as Nila in the episode "Iron & Blood" for Crit Recap Animated and did an interview for "Critical Role Campaign 2 Wrap Up"

    Background[]

    Before becoming an actor, McCann was a painter and a bridge painter (on the Forth Road Bridge), landscape gardener and carpenter. Rory McCann was first trained as an actor by writer-artist Robert Parsifal Finch in The Actor's Workshop, Glasgow in when he was twenty nine.

    McCann is the former frontman of a defunct band called Thundersoup.[2]
