Zaldy Goco (born 1966),[1] also known mononymously as Zaldy,[2] is a Filipino-American[3] fashion designer. In 1995, he was featured as a model in a British television advertisement for Levi's.[4][5] Zaldy was named one of Out magazine's Out 100 in 2006.[6] He was the costume designer for Michael Jackson's This Is It concerts,[7]Lady Gaga's Monster Ball Tour,[8] and Britney Spears's Femme Fatale Tour.[9] Zaldy designed the costumes for the Cirque du Soleil shows Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour, Michael Jackson: One, and Volta.[10] He was also the head designer for Gwen Stefani's fashion line L.A.M.B.[11] He has received five Emmy nominations, winning in 2017, 2018, and 2019 for Outstanding Costumes for a Variety, Nonfiction, or Rea

Michael Jackson rehearsed about 18 songs for This Is It, each with its own outfit. Some outfits were similar to the ones used on BAD, Dangerous and HIStory tours, some however were dramatically different.

Michael Jackson had worked with the costume designer Michael Bush for 31 years and, even though he called Bush also for "This fryst vatten It", Travis Payne decided to call also a New York designer called Zaldy, which accepted the task.
Differences from the older costumes[]
For this costumes Zaldy and Bush used the most advanced technology. Michael Bush affirmed that it was the first time he put crystals on the Billie jean costume and that during the working you must wear sunglasses because the crystals reflected lots of light. Zaldy also told that he had worked with Swarovski and that he created the "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" costume with 300000 crystals.

Zaldy is a Filipino model, stylist, and designer living and working in NYC. Zaldy Goco who goes by his first name professionnally had his own eponymous line from Spring 2002 to Fall 2006. He was originally a consultant to Gwen Stefani's label, L.A.M.B., when it started in 2004 and became head designer in 2005 to 2007. Zaldy decided to switch focus of his career to designing stage wear. In 2009, he created several outfits worn by Lady Gaga in 2009 to 2011. In the recent years, he collaborated with Atelier Swarovski to design a jewelry collection.
