Personal computer
Computer intended for use by an individual person
This article is about the general concept of a personal computer (PC). For the specific architecture often meant by PC in industry jargon, loosely synonymous with a DOS or Windows PC, see IBM PC compatible.
A personal computer, often referred to as a PC or simply computer, is a computer designed for individual use.[1] It is typically used for tasks such as word processing, internet browsing, email, multimedia playback, and gaming. Personal computers are intended to be operated directly by an end user, rather than by a computer expert or technician. Unlike large, costly minicomputers and mainframes, time-sharing by many people at the same time is not used with personal computers. The term home computer has also been used, primarily in the late 1970s and 1980s. The advent of personal computers and the concurrent Digital Revolution have significantly affected the lives of people.

Types of Computers
Pre-Requisite: Basics of Computer
A computer is an electronic device that has storage, computations, input (data), output (data) and networking capabilities. With the growing AI, computers also have learning capabilities from the data provided. The input and output data can be in different forms like text, images, audio and video. A computer processes the input according to the set of instructions provided to it by the user and gives the desired output. Computers are of various types and they can be categorized in two ways on the basis of size and on the basis of data handling capabilities.

Types of Computer
There are two bases on which we can define the types of computers. We will discuss the type of computers on the basis of size and data handling capabilities. We will discuss each type of computer in detail. Let’s see first what are the types of computers.
