Mohammed Shami Introduction
Mohammed Shami Ahmed is an Indian international cricketer who plays for the Indian national cricket team in all formats of the game as a right-arm fast bowler. He plays domestically for Bengal and, in the Indian Premier League, for Gujarat Titans.
Early Life and Family
Shami was born on 3 September in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, India. He is the youngest of four sons of Tousif Ali and Anjum Ara. His father was a farmer and his mother was a housewife.
Early Cricket Career
Shami started playing cricket at a young age. He was initially a batsman, but he switched to bowling after he was inspired by the Indian fast bowler Zaheer Khan. Shami made his first-class debut for Bengal in the Ranji Trophy season. He quickly impressed with his pace and swing, and he was soon called up to the Indian national team.
