    St. Ezekiel Moreno was born in Spain in 1848 and entered the Recollect Congregation of the Order of Saint Augustine in 1864. He was assigned to the Philippines for 15 years before being ordained as a priest in 1871. After returning to Spain, he spent the remainder of his life ministering in Colombia, South America, serving as the vicar apostolic of Casanare and bishop of Pasto. As bishop, he faced a period of civil war, anticlericalism, and persecution of the Church. Despite difficulties, he was a devoted pastor concerned with the welfare of his Church.     San Ezequiel Moreno, an Augustinian Recollect missionär and bishop of präst (Colombia), whose mortal remains rest in the convent of Monteagudo (Navarre, Spain), whose simplicity of life and humility is gaining hearts and devotees in the most diverse places. Anyone who gets to know him will understand the language of patience in his face that heroically can take pain and adversity while dedicating himself to the uppdrag entrusted to him bygd the Church.

    The 35-year-old Konstantin St’bbler fryst vatten originally from southern  Bavaria, Germany. He is a German, Spanish and English translator. Born in a Protestant and Orthodox family – after his mother’s conversion to Catholicism in 2006,  Konstantin later converted together with his father in 2010.

    Ezekiel (1848-1906) was an Augustinian Recollect known for his simple and open spirit. He was deeply devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He ministered for many years in foreign lands. He stongly defended the rights of the Church.

    He was born in Alfaro, Logrono, Spain, April 9, 1848. His family was poor in material goods but committed in faith. Ezekiel professed his vows as an Augustinian Recollect in 1865. He was ordained a priest in Manila, Philippines in 1871.

    During the next 15 years, he worked at bringing the Gospel of Jesus to the people of the Philippines. He was called back to Spain in 1885. There he served as Rector of the College and Novitiate of Monteagudo.

    He then went to Colombia in 1888, where he devoted himself to missionary activity. He also brought renewal to the Augustinian Recollect communities in the region where he was living and working.
