    It’s hard to believe that Culture Night has been on the go for seven years-

    The event sees a one-night spread of the arts in all their guises and glory available for free as many venues thrown open their doors.

    Originally Dublin based, the concept has spread to points across the country and for the past few years Kilkenny has seen its input grow.

    This year there’s plenty to see and to do for Culture Night which falls on Friday with the main action happening at many city venues.

    It begins at the Watergate Theatre at 1pm with a lunchtime concert by South Korean pianist Young-Choon Park. Having playing piano since the age of four, Young-Choon’s first recital came just three years later and by age of nine she was playing Beethoven’s piano concerto no 1 with the Seoul Symphony Orchestra.
